UV rays from the Sun and Blue light emanating from electronic screens of TVS, phones and computer are known to cause eye irritation and, in some cases, retinal damage.  Young adults and children make up the majority of the population that is affected by these twin effects.

Vision impairments are not attended to by most either through negligence or not knowing the existence of such conditions (not been diagnosed).  These impairments can be easily detected and corrected through simple external tests

Proposed Activity

Conduct an onsite Clinic free of cost for the employees (and their family members if required). We would bring the required staff, equipment and look into other logistical arrangements at our cost. The Eye camp will be conducted during the time slots given by the management of the organization. We would also bring a stock of Frames which can be purchased by Staff at special rates/terms

Vision is the primary determinant in the quality of one’s life, Vision impairments drastically effects the way we get about in our home, school, work, or social interactions.

Regular vision tests help to overcome progressive vision impairments and clinically identifies conditions that may lead to serious eye and vision disabilities.

The Team

Our team of Qualified Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians carefully test those who attend our clinic and advise them of any corrections or further attention required to address issues related with general eye health and vision free of cost.

The team will be led by our Director   Mr. Jalan Karunaratne –who counts for over 25 years of international and local experience in dispensing optics and vision care and will be assisted by Sri Lanka Optometry Association (SLOA) certified Ophthalmic Technologists.
